Dunia Peranginan

Semalam pergi ke Dunia Peranginan dengan Sing and Yue. Ini merupakan kali pertama saya melancong Dunia Perangingan. Mula-mula, kami memasuki tapak peletakan kereta. Ruang itu sangat besar and warna digunakan untuk memisahkan sektor yang berlainan. Satu tram disediakan untuk menghantar pelawat yang meletakkan kereta terlalu jauh ke tangga otomatik casino. Tangga otomatik itu membawa kami pergi ke casino. Ruang di depan casino tidak besar, dan pada masa itu, lebih kurang 10.30pm, hanya satu restoran Cina yang beroperasi. Tetapi, pintu masuk casino sangat cantik. Kedua-dua mereka memasuki casino, dan saya pula berjalan-jalan di sekitar Dunia Peranginan yang berada di tingkat atas. Ruang di atas sangat besar, dan satu kolam yang besar berada di tengah-tengah. Pengalaman di sana sangat bagus. Pada pendapat saya, tempat itu adalah satu tempat yang sesuai untuk pasangan.

Hog’s Breath Cafe

Went to HBC with TMCS members and Yalcin. It was a very nice cafe located at Chijms, next to Raffles City (against the traffic towards Funan). As yesterday is Monday, there was a 1-for-1 deal. I ordered a Chicken Salad ($15.95, add $1 pineapple), and Yalcin ordered Caesar Salad ($13.95, add $3 chicken). Total bill was $23.50 ($19.95 X 1.177). My chicken salad tasted really good and the portion is big. I can’t even finished it. The waitress serving us is Miss Jenny (got to know her name from the receipt). She was very very friendly and always smiling. We were served nice iced water (refilled) too.

TCM Meeting (2 Nov 2009)

Last night, I attended TCM Meeting. Luckily the heavy rain ceased by 6.30pm. Hrydal was the table topic master and she did something special tonight. She prepared some pictures and required eight volunteers to tell a unbroken story, from one to another, based on the pictures given. The picture given to me was a red devil. Below are my story: As jacky, elsa, henry and tingting entered the house, they saw a red devil. He told them: “Go and get a fruit from the jungle, or else, all of you and the lion will be cooked”. Tingting volunteered herself, but Elsa said “No, let me do it”. Henry said “No, Elsa, We need you”. Finally, jacky was the one who went. He used his NLP knowledge to find a fruit. He sniffed and sniffed…

Memory rekindled … Bangkok

Went to bangkok with mum, sisters and brother, and hoang at the end of June. This was my second trip to Bangkok. Bangkok has transformed! The Skytrain has linked up the entire transportation network! From Chao Phrya River to Skytrain to MRT, or to canal. Went to Chatuchak the first time. Things were cheap and there were so many varieties! First time went to Pattaya as well. The weather in Pattaya was terribly hot!

Memory rekindled … Hainan

Went to Hainan with my mum and sis for on the first week of August. We first arrived Haikou. From the KL airport, happened to meet a Haikou local and she brought us to eat very nice chicken rice, treated by her male friends. Then we took a very lousy bus to Sanya (RMB60 each). We stayed near to the central of Sanya City. Opposite our very nice hotel is KFC restaurant. The beach was long and the water was brownish. I went to hot spring with 36 pools on the last night before we left. We then returned back to Haikou and stayed in a very nice hotel, near to the famous shopping mall, Pearl Mall. My sister was pick-pocketed RMB200. The next day, Swan Hurricane arrived and we were trapped inside the hotel for one whole day. Anyway, I went out to buy some food back through knee-height flooded street. Thank God no mishap happenned. We went to Wenchang on the last day. It was hot and nothing much to see. The main street was steep and many shops around. Generally toilets in Hainan are very dirty. There are two high-tech facilities in Hainan- automatic good deposit at the restaurant, and a very nice mini-bus that stop at every stop (thus there was no bell to press!).

David came to see the room and he liked it. I had dinner with Nick and it turned out to be a mini tour around clementi to his condo. It was a wonderful night for me. As I walked alone back along the canal, God had comforted me. Friendship is good.

Wrong perceptions about “Ang-Moh”

Most of us, as Asians, we found out that Ang-Moh tourists are treated better than us when we travelling in asian countries. If you asked asians around concerning the ’cause’ or ‘reason’, many people would say “it is because ang-mohs are higher class than us”. Sometimes I feel the same. After listening to an interview, I have changed my perceptions towards this issue. They are treated better not because they are ‘of higher status’ than us. However, I wouldn’t argue that there’s no asians are thinking in such manner. The major reasons why they are treated better are : 1) They are more willing to spend, 2) They tip, 3) They are more polite, 4) some of your country men have left bad impressions to them before, etc.
